Biologists to the bone, members of the Green Grove, seek a balance between civilization and nature. They are often viewed as the most peaceful of the four factions, yet their research and treatment of opponents can be unethical. The Green Grove has the best doctors, genetic engineers, and gardeners. Driven by an intrinsic desire to "fix" the world, they stop at nothing to achieve their utopian vision.
Origin
The Teal Union is a nation that spans several climate zones and boasts a diverse range of flora and fauna. The country has a deep pantheistic tradition, and the abundance of research materials has made it a perfect place to develop the best biologists and medics. The government has a long history of herbalists and healers who have collected and perfected methods for growing and processing medicinal plants.
However, the country's progress had been slowed due to the strict rules imposed by the ruling class of state philosophers. These restrictive 'time-honoured' rules were designed to ensure universal harmony in every aspect of human life but hindered scientific progress. It wasn't until the Reformation in 4315 FS that things began to change.
The shadow government in the Teal Union orchestrated a successful coup, which dramatically changed the values of their fellow citizens, making them more open to questioning the status quo. However, some enlightened rivals of the old elites went too far in the opposite direction, stating that fundamental reform was necessary to change human nature.
Over the next couple of centuries, the political spectrum in the Teal Union settled down, and people adopted more centrist views. However, some of the early works of the reformist zealots persisted in a few heartland provinces, which were home to the most advanced natural scientists in the Union.
These scientists still felt the pressure to conform to the views of their more conservative fellow citizens, so they sought true liberty in their scientific endeavors by traveling to Pandorah. The Green Grove, as it is now known, is home to the best biologists in the world who constantly search for ways to improve the human race based on their views of good and evil. They are not afraid to push the boundaries of science and are determined to create a better future for humanity.
Present
The Green Grove is not only focused on genetic engineering but also on preserving the natural beauty of Pandorah. They employ some of the best landscape designers and gardeners who create stunning public parks and greenhouses for the citizens to enjoy. The Grove members strongly believe in promoting a healthy lifestyle, and they frequently organize events to educate people about the benefits of spending time outdoors.
Apart from its public outreach initiatives, the Green Grove is also involved in some ground-breaking research in biotechnology. Some recent experiments have involved developing plants and animals that can survive in extreme conditions, such as deserts and frozen areas. Notable figures
Sarika Ivy's dedication to the Green Grove's cause is unparalleled, and her sacrifices are widely acknowledged by her fellow members. Despite having to give up her passion for exploring the wild, she is known for her exceptional leadership skills and her ability to push the Green Grove's agenda in the Council effectively. She is also passionate about sustainable living and often encourages using organic materials and environmentally friendly practices.
On the other hand, Karlos Alvarez is a rather mysterious figure. Not much is known about him, except that he discovered Green Fort and has lived there ever since. His sole focus is exploring the local jungles and discovering unusual fungi, which he codes in a complex language known only to him and a select few. His work is highly secretive, and only Sarika Ivy knows the full extent of his findings, which he hands over to her through two agents of the Bounty Blades.
