Tinkers' Trinity
Overview
Members of the Tinkers' Trinity are responsible for inventing and designing new technologies, from anti-gravity packs to deadly weapons. Some claim their sole purpose is to amass wealth and power through technological advancement, with little regard for society or the environment. They are politically indifferent but will lobby for scientific progress.

Origin
Mirror Sea is a region known for its moderate climate and fertile lands that have allowed for the peaceful development of several coastal nations. The sea people living in the area enjoyed the spare time to observe the mechanics of the sky, develop mathematics and build the first mechanisms, thanks to not being forced to fight long cold winters or merciless hot summers. As a result, by 1254 FS, there were already primitive steam engines in use to power port cranes. Despite belonging to different states and speaking other languages, the 'sea people' founded 'thought schools' to share and debate scientific ideas covering multiple disciplines.
Eventually, small multicultural settlements emerged around such schools. However, the jurisdiction issues arising from conflicting interests of the coastal nations often resulted in fierce tensions for the right to use the fruits of labor produced in such quasi-independent towns. To overcome the destruction of accumulated knowledge due to small but devastating conflicts, scientists developed coded language and ethical principles to protect science from political turmoil.
In 1457 FS, the first tinker guild was officially founded on the Southern coast of the sea. The guild aimed to advance scientific knowledge and establish ethical principles in science. In 1511 FS, the three philosophical texts for scientific advancement were adopted: 'Brainstorming cornerstones', Critical reasoning pillars', and 'Disruptive thinking fundamentals', since then known as the Trinity. This marked the beginning of the Golden Age of Science, from approximately the early 17th to the late 23rd century, when many breakthrough discoveries were made due to peace and limited regulations.
However, the absolutist movement and raging tensions between the Mirror Sea nations led to devastating conflicts, nearly entirely ruining tinker guilds. Only in the late 30th century, during the so-called Silver Age, scientists started resurrecting guilds based on the almost lost principles of the Trinity. In 4122, the coastal states adopted an internationally recognized off-shore legislation for innovative cities, realizing that the fruit of cooperation would bring more than wars.
After the discovery of Pandorah, many tinkers migrated to the new land to avoid the overcomplicated regulations of the Old World with the dream of reviving the guilds following the original principles. To commemorate ancient thinkers, they collectively call themselves the Tinkers' Trinity. Today, Tinkers' Trinity continues to advance scientific knowledge and establish ethical principles while preserving the Mirror Sea's Golden Age of Science legacy.
Present
The Tinkers' Trinity is a highly respected and influential group of engineers, inventors, and scientists in Pandorah. They are known for their innovative designs, prototypes, and creations, which range from wireless energy transmitters to automated factories, ground, flying, and naval transport, and much more. Their contributions have been instrumental in advancing the technology and infrastructure of Solar Dale and Crimson Rock.
The Tinkers' Trinity is a meritocracy with highly competitive members. They strive to outdo each other in creating original and ground-breaking designs. The most prominent tinkers often become the most respected scientists, admired for their ability to think outside the box and their willingness to experiment with new ideas, sometimes without regard to their practical application. These tinkers are often called the 'third book followers', in reference to the ancient "Disruptive thinking fundamentals" manifesto.
Despite their brilliance, Tinkers' Trinity members often lack social skills, making it difficult to build strong relationships with other factions in Pandorah. They frequently clash with the Profit Priests, who prioritize investments in ventures that produce practical inventions. These tensions happen because tinkers are more interested in exploring the boundaries of science and technology, while the Profit priests are more concerned with society's immediate needs.
Unlike the Green Grove, which often arranges remote expeditions into the wilds, the Tinkers' Trinity prefers a more gradual expansion unless the Bounty Blades find a promising deposit of valuable resources that can be used as semiconductors or energy sources. Tinkers love to turn their houses into laboratories and mini-factories, which may sometimes annoy their neighbors. They hold regular gatherings to exchange design ideas and trade equipment pieces to meet their ever-changing needs.
Finally, the Tinkers' Trinity occasionally runs shared research labs with the Green Grove. This collaboration is particularly beneficial when investigating unusual combinations of flora and minerals, such as ivy crystals or volcanic mushrooms, which require the expertise of both factions.
Notable figures
Duante Kone is not just any Elder Tinker; he is the founder of the Tinkers' Trinity and is considered the father of modern engineering on Pandorah. He has been instrumental in developing key technologies throughout the settlements, including wireless energy transmitters and automated factories. Dr. Kone is also a renowned teacher and has mentored many of the world's top tinkers.
Nikos Aetos, on the other hand, is a rising star in the Tinkers' Trinity and is seen by many as the natural successor to Dr. Kone. He has already designed several successful projects, including a revolutionary new airship that can travel twice as fast as any other vehicle.
The rivalry between Solar Dale and Crimson Rock has been ongoing for years, with both sides claiming to be the true leaders in technological innovation. While Solar Dale is undoubtedly the larger and more established settlement, Crimson Rock has been making significant strides in renewable energy in recent years.
Hibo Ngoy is a fascinating character, as she was banished from Solar Dale for her lack of discipline, yet she has managed to make a name for herself in Crimson Rock. She is known for her unconventional thinking and has significantly contributed to engineering, particularly in desalination. Despite her success, however, she is still viewed with suspicion by some members of the Tinkers' Trinity, who see her as a renegade working against the group's interests.
