Solar Dale

In the year 4751 FS, the first ship arrived at Solar Dale, a small settlement on the coast of Pandorah. The ship had just completed a perilous journey through the Stormy Waters, and the arrival at Solar Dale was a welcome relief for the adventurers aboard. Some speculate that the ship's captain was able to find the exact location of Solar Dale due to the notes of the legendary explorer Akira.

Over the last few decades, Solar Dale has grown into an important port, attracting ships with its calm, shallow waters and offering its citizens access to fertile lands and rich natural resources. The settlement, which began as a tiny wooden fort, has now become a bustling city with impressive architecture inspired by traditions from all over the Old World. It boasts modern amenities such as ambitious banks, well-furnished hotels, cozy cafes, wonderful gardens, hi-tech factories, and privately owned laboratories.

Despite the dangers of traveling through the Stormy Waters, more and more adventurers are drawn to Solar Dale, which has earned the nickname "Rock Pearl." The city is seen as a beacon of opportunity and a place for creativity and daring. Those who are complacent or resistant to change would not fit in with a society built on the principles of constant innovation.

Solar Dale enjoys a climate that is a mix of temperate and tropical, with only summers and springs and no distinct seasons. Although the city is built on the oceanic coast, storms or floods do not affect it. However, all metal constructions and vehicles must be galvanized by law.

The flora and fauna of Pandorah are distinct from those of the Old World. To the north and west of Solar Dale are dense deciduous forests with bits of tropical vegetation. Surprisingly, there are almost no large animals within at least a hundred miles radius. The most prominent representative of the local fauna is the sky manta, with a wingspan of 8 feet.

Rather than traditional agricultural centers or mining operations, Solar Dale relies on evergreen fruit trees and domesticated mushrooms to meet the needs of its population. Prospectors search for massive stalactites in the caves to the north, which are rich in minerals and regenerate quickly.

Unlike the cities of the Old World, where factories and plants are often relegated to the outskirts or specific districts due to noise and pollution, Solar Dale embraces green technologies and innovative ergonomic designs. This allows production facilities to blend seamlessly into the city and become organic parts of the settlement.

Solar Dale is the capital of the young nation of Pandorah, and it is governed by a council that oversees the city and coordinates cooperation with other settlements. However, Crimson Rock, the second-largest settlement on the continent, frequently disagrees with the capital on various policies.
